In recent past months, TRCS took the responsibility to fight the Marburg epidemic disease that occurred in Kagera Region, we greatly thank this sixth Tanzanian government through the Ministry of Health (MoH)under its Minister Hon.Dr. Ummy Mwalimu (MB), because they cooperated in ensuring that this disease was quickly eradicated. We as TRCS carried out our duty to deal with this disease where our Members and Volunteers cooperated with the office of the Regional Medical Officer, Kagera where TRCS did the following tasks:

(RCCE, mental health, surveillance, and safe burial).

Likewise, since last year, TRCS has been able to combat various problems affecting Tanzanians through various Vaccination Projects for Covid 19, Epidemic Diseases such as Cholera, Drought, Floods, Health, Camp Services, Safe Water and multiple trainings, all of which are to ensure that the Tanzanian society becomes safe.

Through this meeting, I would like to take this opportunity to thank various stakeholders who have been with us in sponsoring various projects to ensure that we can help the Government to provide incident services, especially during the fighting of Marburg Virus Disease (MVD), so I use this opportunity to thank the Director of IFRC Africa along with all the IFRC Leadership without forgetting other stakeholders to mention few, AFRICA CDC, MASTERCARD FOUNDATION, SPANISH RED CROSS, AMERICAN RED CROSS, USAID, UNICEF, UNHCR, SHELL EXPLORATION, COCA - COLA FOUNDATION, FINISH RED CROSS, TURKISH RED CROSS.”
